Through various grant awards, we were able to provide camp entirely free to all of our participating 6th-8th graders this summer! Our unique summer camp provided a well-rounded experience that was not just fun, but carefully designed to help our young people succeed in school and combat the learning gap exasperated by the pandemic impacting our community. Campers rotated through a wealth of skill-building activities including academic workshops in STEM, math, language arts, health and 21st century skills. Along with our wildly popular splash days, our campers took cultural field trips and learning adventures to The Art Institute, Millennium Park, and even hopped aboard the Chicago Architecture Center boat tour down the Chicago River.
