Our 10th Annual Benefit was a resounding success on all levels. Over 30 youth members showcased their projects and skills at our Youth Made Market; we watched a riveting performance by our founding community partner, South Shore Drill Team; and heard an original poem by GCYC member, Serenity. Our youth panel, moderated by WTTW’s Black Voices host, Angel Idowu, capped off an inspiring afternoon, providing intimate insight into the interests and aspirations of four young people pursuing career pathways across our focus areas of healthcare, IT, and construction/vocational trades.
After all of the generous donations, ticket sales and youth enterprise product purchases were tallied, we raised over $300,000 to help fuel our mission and increase our impact.
