The Gary Comer Youth Center is a membership organization and when your child joins, they experience everything we offer both onsite and virtually and become a member of our family. FAQ
GCYC has programs for 11-18 years old (current 6th-12th graders). GCYC also has employment programs for youth and young adults from 14-24 years old.
GCYC annual membership fee is a one-time payment of $40 per young person. The Youth Center follows the school year calendar with membership periods from June of the current year until June of the next year. Summer camp fees are separate and will be posted seasonally during summer camp enrollment.
No. Program-offerings are scheduled based on the instructor. Young people are able to attend on the days they are registered for programs and/or attend drop-in areas for any day they are not registered for programs.
Yes. When young people arrive after school, GCYC serves snacks from 3:30 pm-4 pm and dinner from 6:30 pm-7 pm.
